Dr.D. Karthikeswaran Information technology has become increasingly pervasive in recent years, while its parent field, computing science, has become correspondingly harder to find. Information Technology is to ensure great careers for our students. Our faculty and students constantly strive to excel and advance the state of the art in Information Technology. We believe that individuals with a clear and thorough understanding of the fundamentals can quickly adapt to rapid technological changes. Our goal is to develop critical thinking and analytical skills in our students, ensuring that they become employable, entrepreneurial, and ethical members of the global community. We aim to provide education as the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Learning is a continuous process that does not end with acquiring a degree, especially as steady and rapid advances in computing technologies shorten the lifespan of tools and techniques prevalent today. Our well-maintained labs have open-source technologies and the latest tools and software. We believe that our approach to teaching and learning, combined with practical experience gained during industrial training in reputed organizations, equips our students to handle the challenges posed by the software industry. As part of our Industry Institute Collaboration, our department has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various reputable industries to provide a platform for students to work with companies on internships and projects, building technology products that impact industry and society to enhance their employment skills. Entrepreneurial-minded students can use this opportunity to become successful entrepreneurs. Our department has a team of experienced and motivated academics whose expertise spans a range of disciplines in the Computer Science field. We have a healthy work culture, and our students are eager to keep up with the industry’s and society’s change.
